Attached are a couple of pictures (I've used my Elph2 in place of the Ixus V3 - they are practically the same size). Small shaped wedge of polystyrene and the thing is rock solid. The camera (with battery and CF) only weighs 215grams. Considered BlueTac but it sometimes leaves an oily stain and also wanted to make sure the front leg did not press on the LCD screen. The wedge can't be too thick or you'll put undue stress on the top of the sun shade bit. This setup is really good for movies ... no shake. It could be better if it had a pan head on it, but it's much better then trying to hold it. Not the prettiest solution - might make a nicer wedge in something else (eg block rubber), something black at least.
