Leslie from Malaysia sent me these pictures and the following email from Sigma Motorsports. It seems Sigma are making a Turbo kit for the 206 GTI which gives a significant power and torque increase. Sigma's website www.sigma-motorsport.ch seems to be unavailable at the moment. The pictures are obviously from a Motorshow, not sure where or when though. The email from Sigma goes:

Dear Leslie

We have a Turbo Kit for this Engine, and the complet modifyed engine will create 216 bhp (MMC: 160kw) and 325Nm torque. The engine we do modify in our company complet, and the Kit is not available in parts. So we do renew the engine complet into a new with 0Km/miles, that will give warranty for none failures in our products.

The engine is dismantlet complet, and the prepared is the engine block, crankshaft, Valve drivetrain and other important parts. So also modifyed are the pistons. We replaced the standard smal slipper pistons into new forged pistons with less copression ratio.

The modification price from the engine complet with all parts (enclose Intercooler with all tubes and hoses, so how a special bodyshell front skirt and air intake grill) so how new Engine Management System and his harness and Sensors is:

14500.00CHF (Swiss Francs excl. 7,6% VAT and all shipping costs)
